Our Woolies chefs and product developers really value the engagements facilitated through a show like this, as they’re exposed to people who are conscious about making better food choices, while taking the planet and communities into consideration too. Being in touch with our customers’ evolving world of food, as well as their ever-shifting health and wellness needs, puts us in the best position to respond with inspiring solutions that are relevant and meet their requirements. Not only did I get the opportunity to demonstrate and prepare an amazing plant-based dish, but I also was able to interact and engage with the crowd. I have a passion for cooking, and to be able to share something which I have created with my own two hands is always a thrilling and inspiring experience.”

Rianette paused at The Local Farmer’s stand to learn more about the small, but mighty microgreens they offer and their self-sufficient solution for families who choose to grow their own seedlings. Microgreens don’t need much space to grow and can be harvested within two weeks of germination. The seedlings range from being vegetables, edible flowers, and even some fruit.
