What is Hygiene Heroes?

Children all over the world miss countless days of school due to illnesses that are easily preventable, but as a parent, you know how hard it is to get young children to take hygiene habits seriously.

When children know about hygiene, they stay healthier, and they stay in school. That’s why we at Unilever have teamed up with the Department of BASIC Education to create Hygiene Heroes – a free online gaming platform that teaches kids basic hygiene habits in a fun and educational way. Your kids will learn how to implement handwashing, toilet hygiene and oral care into their daily life!

We want to make sure that as many children as possible get the most out of their education by staying safe from germs and avoiding infections!

Learning Hygiene Habits Through Play

Fight germs with the Hygiene Heroes! When your child signs up on the Hygiene Heroes platform, they’ll have plenty of activities to keep them entertained and learning. To start off, our colourful characters teach kids practical hygiene habits in animated videos. Once they’ve watched the videos, there’s a collection of fun quizzes to test their knowledge!

The real fun starts with the germ-dodging game. Your child will avoid the illness-causing germs using up and down arrows and collect virtual coins along the way, while learning how to avoid real germs in day-to-day life!

As your kids advance in the game, their scores will climb and so will their position on the leader board. The best part? They’ll be able to compete with their friends, inviting other children to learn hygiene habits too!
