Montae was seven months old when her parents noticed that her fontanelle on top of her head was bulging. They took her to the casualty in hospital. That night she started getting worse and feverish, combined with nausea and vomiting.
“The paediatrician told me that she tested positive for Meningitis. It was a big shock. I could have lost my child and that is something nobody wants to go through ever in their life.“ shares her parents.
“People create medicine to help people and it’s actually necessary to take the vaccines. For them not to go through what I had to go through. Nobody likes to stick a needle into a child, however they can cry for five minutes or so and then the pain is over. Whereas you can sit with a lifetime of pain when losing a child when not taking their vaccine,” concludes her father.
