Cooking with your child and teaching them how to enjoy the creativity going into a yummy recipe is fun (and you will benefit in the long run). 
 
BabyYumYum loves this wonderfully illustrated cook book published by Penguin Random House and the way the recipes are explained. 
 
Author Marleen Lammers created DO NOT FEED THE MONKEY!  for children (and their loved ones) to enjoy with a collection of 49 easy-to-achieve recipes for children with and without adult supervision.  The recipes are accompanied by a fun adventure story that ties in directly with the beautifully illustrated recipes. 
 
Illustrated by Anja Stoeckigt who will keep you turning the pages to see what the characters are up to on the next page. 
 
Recipes recommended for children aged 6 and older.

2. Have fun and prepare the recipe with your child.
3. Take a picture of your delicious creation.

Terms & Conditions: “DO NOT FEED THE MONKEY!” Cookbook Competition

  1. Competition Organiser: The competition is organised by BabyYumYum in collaboration with Penguin Random House.
  2. Eligibility: The competition is open to residents of South Africa, aged 18 years or older. Employees of BabyYumYum, Penguin Random House, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
  3. Entry Requirements: Participants must download one (or more) of the provided recipes from the BabyYumYum website. Prepare the recipe with your child and take a photo of the finished dish. Post the photo on your Facebook profile using the hashtag #CookWithBYY and tag BabyYumYum and Penguin Random House to qualify for entry. The post must be set to public for the organisers to see your entry.
  4. Competition Dates: The competition begins on 19 October 2024 and ends at midnight on 7 November 2024. No entries submitted after this date will be considered, but feel free to keep on trying the recipes.
  5. Prize Details: Three winners will be selected to each receive a DO NOT FEED THE MONKEY! cookbook. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
  6. Winner Selection: Winners will be selected based on creativity, presentation, and adherence to the competition guidelines. The decision of the judges will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  7. Notification of Winners: Winners will be notified via Facebook direct message within 7 days of the competition’s closing date. Winners must respond within 7 days of notification; otherwise, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be selected.
  8. Publicity: By entering this competition, participants agree to the use of their name, image, and submission for promotional purposes related to BabyYumYum without additional compensation. This includes social media posts, website features, and newsletters.
  9. Data Protection: Any personal data supplied during the competition will be used solely for the purposes of administering the competition in accordance with South African data protection laws and will not be shared with third parties.
  10. Limitation of Liability: BabyYumYum and Penguin Random House will not be held responsible for any issues, losses, or damage arising from participation in the competition or the use of any prize.
  11. Modifications & Termination: The organiser reserves the right to amend the competition’s terms and conditions at any time. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the organiser may also terminate the competition without notice.
  12. Disqualification: Any entrant found to be violating these terms and conditions, or engaging in any fraudulent activity, will be disqualified from the competition.
