Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa, sifted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 15g dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup milk, warm
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 50g butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk choc chips
  • 2 x 80g slab Cadbury Top Deck
  • 50g each milk, white, dark chocolate, melted separately

Method:

1 Sift flour, cocoa and salt into a large bowl. Stir in sugar and yeast. Make a well in the centre. Gradually add combined milk, egg and butter, stirring well.

2 Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead in choc chips 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a large greased bowl. Set aside, covered, in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in size.

3 Preheat the oven to 200°C. Lightly grease a large oven tray.

4 Punch dough down. Divide into 12 rounds. Using your thumb, make an indent in each round and press two squares of Top Deck into each. Fold sides of dough up, gather and pinch together. Place on tray, join-side down. Set aside, covered, in a warm place, for 20 minutes to rise.

5 Bake 15-20 minutes until golden and rolls sound hollow when tapped.

6 Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly. Drizzle with chocolate.
