Amahle and Mpumelelo Confirm Baby’s Birth and Gender on ‘Izingane Zes’thembu’

In 2025, the reality star went live on TikTok to address the pregnancy rumours directly, going as far as lifting her top to show her stomach to followers in an attempt to prove that she was not pregnant. Despite her denial, the rumours continued and followed her for months.

Earlier this year, Mpumelelo was spotted at Addington Hospital’s maternity ward. Images of his visit quickly circulated on social media, fuelling rumours that Amahle had already given birth.

Season 4 of their reality show opened with Amahle’s long‑awaited confirmation of her pregnancy and child.

“I was pregnant last year and Mpumelelo and I weren’t getting along. I disliked him deeply, but he remained patient with me until the baby was born,” she confirmed.

In his diary session, Mpumelelo reflected on his relationship with Amahle and confirmed that she had given birth to a baby boy.

This makes it Mpumelelo’s fourth child, as the polygamist businessman also has two children with his former partner, Vuyokazi Nciweni, as well as one other child with his other partner, Tirelo Kale

“My reason for getting married is to rebuild my family. Secondly, I’ve been with Tirelo for a very long time, and I don’t want her to think I’m marrying her just because we have Singabakho [their son]. It’s better to stand by my words and show that I truly love her,” Mpumelelo explained.

Tirelo voiced her concerns about stability if she were to marry Mpumelelo, questioning where she and their son would live and how he planned to provide for them. Mpumelelo reassured her that he would take care of her and make her happy, but Tirelo pressed further, challenging whether his promises aligned with reality.

“I would be uncertain and have a lot of questions, like, ‘Where am I going to go?’ I wouldn’t feel secure or have any stability. I’m not sure whether it’s the right decision or not to marry him.”

It seems this season is set to be yet another dramatic one, with plenty more still to unfold as viewers continue to discuss the show online.

Izingane Zes’thembu airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 20:00 on Mzansi Magic. Now in its fourth season, the reality series has been dubbed a ‘realnovela’ by viewers, with its unfolding family dynamics, relationship tensions and dramatic storylines continuing to fuel conversation among audiences.
