Your baby week 12 often marks the end of the newborn phase and the beginning of more noticeable developmental progress. During baby week 12, many babies show improved head control, stronger movements and more coordination when reaching for objects. You may also notice more expressive sounds, early laughter and clearer reactions to familiar people. Feeding may become more efficient, while sleep can start to show early patterns, even if not consistent. These changes are part of normal baby development and signal that your baby is becoming more active, aware and engaged.
