Kefilwe Sibenya, trained and certified birth doula and postpartum care provider
Kefilwe Sibenya is a trained and certified birth doula and postpartum care provider, a mother and an advocate for respectful maternity care in South Africa. She identifies as Mmabotsetse, a Setswana word loosely translated as “a woman who takes care of mothers during the postpartum period,” which reflects the essence of her work. She is the founder of Births & Botsetse, offering birth and postpartum support services, and the Botsetse Foundation, which focuses on improving access to care for underserved families. Based in Gauteng, she supports families through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood with a focus on continuous, compassionate care. Kefilwe is also the Executive Director of Doulas of South Africa (DOSA), where she works to advance awareness and access to doula support across the country
