Dr Candice Schwartz, Big Red Tooth

Dr. Schwartz received her dental training from the University of the Witwatersrand School of Dentistry, Johannesburg, South Africa. She founded and managed a large group private practice in South Africa for many years, that she successfully sold. In search of a new challenge she relocated her family to the United States where she practices and teaches at We Care Dental to fulfill her passion for dental science and academia. Candice is driven by providing state of the art, relationship-based, comprehensive care to the patients of We Care and passing this ethos of patient care to her students. She has 13 years of experience in general dentistry, including restorative, implant and cosmetic dentistry. She also has extensive experience in dental crowns, implant restoration, pediatric dental care and dental practice management. Dr. Schwartz is a member of the California Dental Association and the American Dental Education Association and has completed postdoctoral courses in prosthodontics, endodontics and implant dentistry. Her career trajectory took an expected turn when she began studying with the Institute of Functional Medicine. She now uses an integrative approach with all patients in order to treat the body and mouth holistically, as a single unit.
