Two mauled bodies in the woods. Top secret autopsies. The most chilling cases of Scarpetta's career.

Unnatural Death: a Scarpetta novel by Patricia Cornwell, book review by Shane Mitchell

In this new installment of Patricia Cornwell’s #1 bestselling Scarpetta series, chief medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta finds herself in a Northern Virginia wilderness examining the remains of two campers wanted by federal law enforcement. It lags, with too much detail that does not really get anywhere.  I did not find the beginning gripping so I did not finish it. It’s a pity as I like Cornwall’s books. For die-hard fans only.
