How to make the easy microwave fudge

Put the condensed milk, butter and sugar in a microwave-safe bowl – remember that the mixture is likely to bubble up towards the end of the cooking time, so use a bigger bowl than you think you need.

Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Remove from the microwave and stir mixture well.

Place back in the microwave for a further 10-12 minutes (microwaves vary so adjust according to the strength of yours), stirring the mixture every 2/3 minutes or so until it’s a golden colour. Don’t overcook, and be careful because the fudge (and the bowl!) will be HOT when you take it out the microwave!

Remove from the microwave and quickly add your vinegar and any ‘extra’ ingredients – like Oreos or marshmallows – to the mixture and stir.
